We love Youtube. And possibly spend too much time there. But that’s neither here nor there.
We’ve compiled our favorite list of EDC Youtube channels. We’ll continue adding to it over time so please send over your recommendations and we’ll check them out.
We looked at over twice as many as we’ve included below, some we still watch but not enough to recommend below.
What makes for a great EDC Youtube channel
In our opinion, a great EDC Youtube channel includes personality and in-depth gear reviews.
We avoid channels that do not show their face on camera or test the EDC gear they’re reviewing on camera.
We also keep in mind who they are sponsored by. Channels sponsored by EDC products are preferred over ones that pump crypto exchanges. This is a small pet peeve. We prefer channels that are passionate about the industry through and through.
Who should you trust when it comes to EDC gear
With any type of information shared on the internet, you need to test it yourself. Compare reviews and advice from multiple channels.
Do not take one channel or individual’s word as gospel.
Source your information from many different sites and channels. Compare notes to make an educated decision.
We’ve shortened the stack for you in regard to EDC Youtube channels. The channels below are excellent places to start. Feel free to look for more as well.
Our favorite EDC Youtube channels
Give the below channels a watch. They each cover and recommend gear in different ways. Some are more interested in gadgetry and self-reliance while others are more focused on weaponry and self-defense.
We only included the channels we watch regularly.
Sensible Prepper
The Sensible Prepper channel is an additional channel created by the popular Sootch00 Channel. They review EDC gear such as packs, flashlights, knives, and more.
They also create useful videos of the many use cases of common household products such as salt and baking soda.

Best Damn EDC
Best Damn EDC is the home of the EDC Weekly show. The channel is run by Taylor Martin.
They stick to mostly EDC gear reviews with several EDC pocket dumps and gear roundups. The videos are high quality with interesting perspectives to use cases.

At Home in the Future
While At Home in the Future does not sound like an EDC channel they cover everything from gear reviews to versus series.
Eric runs the channel and has a depth of knowledge when it comes to everything EDC.

John Gadget
John founded The Gadget Shop which grew into over 100 high-street stores across the United Kingdom. He’s a wealth of knowledge when it comes to EDC gadgets and gear.
He offers a unique perspective and scrutinizes the product’s quality to the highest level.
While he’s exited his physical retail stores, he’s still obsessed with EDC gadgets which led to the creation of his Youtube channel and consistent content creation.

Our favorite EDC monthly series
Our favorite author at EpicPockets is Jack Carr. His Terminal List book series is hands down one of the most detailed and suspenseful books we’ve read.

We can not get enough and look forward to the release of the 6th book in May.
Anyways, Jack does a monthly video on his Youtube channel where he shares what he’s been carrying that month. He also shares what books he’s read and what new gear was sent to him. He gets sent a lot of cool gear too.
